Grieg is one of my favourite composers...Hi Sean,
Grieg is one of my favourite composers whose pleasing style to me is instantly recognisable and I enjoyed this superb performance.
You may also be aware of the Operetta “Song of Norway” depicted the fictionised life story of Edvard Grieg. The music was taken directly (as was common for an operetta of that era) from his work. Among the most notable songs in my opinion was “Strange Music” (based on Wedding Day at Troldhaugen), and “Hill of Dreams”.
Best wishes
Lindsay Byrneshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11030132436987752741noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5507673653895812509.post-6841150326768467132017-09-10T03:58:40.294+02:002017-09-10T03:58:40.294+02:00Thank you!Thank you!Claudehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06775039539331403794noreply@blogger.com
