Relats conjunts

The luminaries of antiquity all together, from A for Aristotle to Z for Zarathustra. And what did they achieve?
In 2024, today's "luminaries" are able to destroy each other with the most modern weapons.
And this is then proudly called progress.

  1. Regress would be a more accurate description.

    Aferradetes, Sean.

  3. We know nothing, and most of us aren't smart enough to realize it.

  4. Good comparison, you couldn't destroy the planet with a bow and arrow!

    1. This could be an alternative beginning of an Old Testament: In the beginning were club, bow and arrow.

Salut ;)

    1. The ancient piliosophers argued with words. That's right, Artur. Lying, beheading, torturing, murdering, raping and perverting noble ideas is done by others. As I wrote earlier with Carme: nowadays there are thousands of philosophy students, but hardly any (great) philosophers. There are several billion people too many, anyway.

  6. Sadly 'humans' do not learn lessons from past mistakes.

    1. Oh, "we" are certainly learning, CherryPie. Look at all these beautiful weapons. And how heroic, sitting several thousand kilometres away in a shelter, pressing the button.

Curt i ben cert.
    Un aplaudiment!

    1. Gràcies, Carme.
You're right. There has always been successive progress. Unfortunately, almost every potentially beneficial invention has always been perverted shortly afterwards.

  8. Hola Sean.

    2. iHola, Xavier! Welcome to Omnium, and thank you!
I followed your link, and even though the beta version of your translation programme is more of an Omega version ;-) my carotid artery swelled once again.
Although a lot is already known about "pious" pederasts and the protective hand of high-ranking representatives of God on earth, it will be many years before the dimension of their crimes becomes public ... if at all. But already what is known stinks to high heaven.
Over the years, I have collected several examples of clerical abuse - mainly in Germany, Ireland, Scotland, Canada and the USA. Not much has here been reported from countries like France, Spain and Italy, or I have missed it. But it is, of course, obvious that "the system" is "flourishing" worldwide.
Thank you again, Xavier, and all the best for you. The peace of the night.
