Dmitri  Hvorostovsky 16 October 1962 – 22 November 2017

On Sunday, May 7, Dmitri Hvorostovsky who after being diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2015 had had a hiatus, performed “Cortigiani, vil razza dannata” from Verdi’s Rigoletto before an adoring crowd, in Metropolitan Opera, New York.
It's so sad seeing him so weak. But his voice!

Déjà-vu in 2019

Dmitri  Hvorostovsky 16 October 1962 – 22 November 2017

In 80 Words Around A Year

While perverse bastards felt fancy to call the war they started the year with "Operation Olive Branch"; while worldwide many people built walls around their heart; while there were natural, moral and ethical disasters galore, I was allowed to enjoy the best year of my life, so far, on this planet. And now I am looking forward what we shall make of 2019, the first months of which I am going to live and write in Spain. Happy New Year!

Merry Christmas

Same photo as last year,
as the year before,
as ten years ago.
Nothing seems to change, hm?

Merry Christmas, then,
Goodwill to all people
and Peace on Earth.
