Most people are other people. Their thoughts are someone else's opinions, their lives a mimicry, their passions a quotation- Oscar WildeThat's my favourite qoutation, but most people don't get the joke.
Sean, that is because, some minds are like a parachute, when it doesn't open, they are screwed for life! Irony will not save them.... :)

Reading about irony, brought back that line from the SF writer, Robert Heinlein:"The supreme irony of life is that hardly anyone gets out of it alive."And that stings!
