What a sensitive interpretation. The middle movement had me in tears. I loved the eye contact she had with the Basoonist. Not a criticism at all but there didn't seem to be any sound coming from the timpani. Thoroughly enjoyed, thank you.
My homage on the lady's 75th birthday. Ans well observed, Mark. I also enjoyed what your eyes loved. As for the timpani: Far from claiming to have the absolute pitch, but there came, more or less discreet, some sounds from it.
