Never bother a drunken beastie

While picking up dropped cherries
I got rewarded with an adrenaline kick:
Some drunken tiny beastie
had obviously felt bothered
by my right forefinger
and stung.
Which is why the white bucket
remained half empty.

Laughing Lhursday*

"Let's talk about social distance."

* [For first time visitors]: Typo in the title? Nah. It's just that
I would not let a tiny T spoil an avantgardistic alliteration.

Quite an idyll

Bees and birds have their share,
we have ours:
beans and beetroots,
carrots and kohlrabi,
cucumbers and courgettes
leek and onions,
several sorts of tomatoes,
peppers and potatoes,
apples and plums,
hazel- and walnuts,
not to forget all the herbs.

Alternative Fact

Being asked on July 4th,
why he would not move
to the "National Garden of Heroes",
he is said to have answered:
"I am born in the U.S.A.,
but I am not used
to be their Number Two."
