Same procedure as every year

If counted well the  Germans today can/could watch Dinner for One (The 90th Birthday) - history here - 13 times, and thus three times fewer than one year ago, but again at different times on various TV-channels, and  apart from the original in various German dialects; no Swiss version in 2012, though.
Very strange folks, the Germans.
Well, judge for yourself.

Tiny tip-off: Be absolutely determined not to laugh.

How exciting

How exciting having blocked comments and thus never coming to read those thousands comments I might have got, and never coming to know how many spams of religious nutters I might have had to delete.

Tomorrow my excitement will end.

May the patience be with you.

Merry Christmas

A child's born.
Its 'cross': malnutrition.

About 10,000 times a day.

So Merry Christmas then,
and peace on Earth.
And after the mass
enjoy the masses on your table.

Sumptuous meals,
a Lucullan feast.

After all, (billions of) individuals can't change the world, can they?

May the Lord care for the poor souls.

Fucking hypocrites!

A safe world for women

Interesting.
I am told, millions of female foeti are aborted in China. Due to the One-Child-policy, it is said.

At the same time, I hear girls and young women are getting kidnapped in Vietnam, Burma (Myanmar), Laos, Cambodia,  North Korea even and other countries, in order to sell them to the ordinary Chinese family's "One and only" who would otherwise not find a bride, and not only because he not seldom is a fat, stupid egoist, due to the excellent education he, the little prince, got.

Oh well, and kept in brothels they can even serve many little princes.

Millions of female foeti are aborted in China. Due to the One-Child-policy, it is said.

Really?

Millions of female foeti are aborted in India, too. And there does not exist a One-Child-Policy.
At the same time, I hear girls and young women are kidnapped in Vietnam, Burma (Myanmar), Laos, Cambodia, North Korea even and other countries, in order to sell them to one of those ordinary Indian family's 'masculine pride' who would otherwise not find a bride, and not only because he not seldom is a stupid little macho, due to the excellent education he, the little idiot, got.

What rotten societies!

Time for a new Lysistrata:

And for a safe world for women.

Not only in Kyrgyzstan.

In less than thousand and one years.

The peace of the night.

Lousy photo ...

... beautiful bird.

... beautiful creature, was my first thought. I think creature is a lovely word. But then, I do not believe in anyone / anything creating creatures, creating nature.
Which is why I became creative and changed one word in above's caption.

Under the Rainbow

Wanderer's Night Song

Wanderers Nachtlied

Über allen Gipfeln
Ist Ruh',
In allen Wipfeln
Spürest du
Kaum einen Hauch.
Die Vöglein schweigen im Walde.
Warte nur, balde

Ruhest du auch.

Goethe

Wanderer's Nightsong

Over all peaks

Reigns calm,
In all treetops
Senseth thou
Barely a breath.
The birdies keep silent in the wood.
Simply wait, soon
Resteth thou, too.

Surely there will soon be peace.

No need of followers

Attentive visitors might have noticed that Omnium's blogroll peu à peu has become shorter.

This is due to that I would not link (anymore) to bloggers

– whose blogs have not been available for more than one year;

– who would not link to other blogs (including Omnium).

Thanks for your attention.

The older I get the less time I do have to be diplomatic.

And – may I say so? ... ha! of course, I may say so: I do not care about 'followers'.

What stupid a word!

Millions followed Stalin, Hitler, Mao; millions got deceived by ... take the name of your choice ...

And I should ask for followers?

Whooaah. Too many idiots on this planet.

And I am one of them.

Still blogging.

Time flies

Today one month ago I was given some interesting books,
an external hard disc, some sweets,
quite a few good wishes and words of thankfulness.
I smilingly took the wishes, and the thanks,
at five minutes to midnight
raised a pint of plain
and murmured to myself:
Herewith I declare the party opened:
Happy birthday, Sean. Slàinte.
Drank the pint, went to sleep
for about three hours
and
haven't since opened one of the books above.
It's been an eventful new year, so far.
I shall not complain. :)
I only wish I could fly like the time.

For your imagination

After two and a half years ... there could be told some more episodes about the lady and her life whisperer. Alone, these are no days for writing.
These are days for preparing favourite meals; days and nights for trying to anticipate the very next wish [ the German idiom – 'to read all wishes from her eyes – sounds much nicer, would you agree?]; days and nights to speak about past 88 years, about present, death, dreams and future; days and nights to clean and caress, to hurry and hush; days and nights to enjoy a whispered thank you, an "oh, that was delicious"; days and nights for love and laughter,  for sparkling eyes and smiling silence ... dum spiro spero.

The peace of the night.

Re [no] comments

As any seldom boring knows I am these months particularly busy with not commenting.

And I could easily when visiting Jams O'Donnell Esq at The Poor Mouth, or Mijnheer Pieters at Villa gedichten, Lady Limoncello at  Sicily Scene ... .and Chris at god-free morals.

However, as one after the other they changed their comment  box, meanwhile I am just not able to leave comments at Susan'sKnatolee's, Francis' (Attempted Essays), Don QuiScottie's,and some other bloggers.

If anyone knows the 'Why', please let me know.

If no one knows the why, don't worry. None of them is such bad a blogger to need comments of mine.

Thanks for having me.
