This novel from 1997 is a co-production by 15 Irish authors in aid of Amnesty International, each of whom has contributed a chapter. A fine read, by the way.
The Guinness on tap in cans comes at least reasonably close to the draught version. In any case, I like to savour it every now and then, accompanied by a wee dram of Talisker.
And still his words live on.

ReplyDeleteAferradetes, Sean.
Well, yes, it ‘pinches’ here and there, is certainly not ‘all of a piece’, but it's an enjoyable read.

It's been too long since I've read Yeats, something to remedy soon.
