It was this very morning, Susan, that almost five decades after for the first time reading the Iliad at the age of eleven I understood what Homer meant when praising the godess 'saffron robe'. Many times I have seen her rosy fingers, but never so clearly her saffron robe.
Hm, could I make you feel better by confessing that I was a wee bit bragging, swaggering or whatever word it may be that I'd like to write just now? :)
