Are you sure it is not Spring coming early? Our geese went away a few weeks ago but now they seem to be coming back, unless they are just flying around confused about what to do (a bit like me).
And my Spring flowering heather is in full flower now, two months earlier than I have ever seen. (And come to think of it I feel somewhat frisky and inclined to dunt heads with any other males who approach my woman).
Hm. Interesting. Here one could watch a similar phenomenon about two weeks ago: some migrants flying north-eastwards. Still, I think there will now soon arrive a kind of winter. Perhaps a short episode, followed by an early spring. The hazel pollen have already been flying. We are certainly living in interesting times. Enjoy the dunting, valiant wearer of the Helmet of Perthino. Happy New Year!
A beautiful, amazing sight to behold :-)
ReplyDeleteOn their return I might not grasp the camera but just watch and listen. It was just wonderful.
Deleteno luggage - just wings
ReplyDeletethe migration continues
life is passing strange
Strange, indeed.
DeleteIn Turkey they would probably get downed as violators of the megalomanic President's airspace.
