Laughing Lhursday* with Joyce and Beckett

Samuel Beckett (13 April 1906 – 22 December 1989)

James Joyce (2 February 1882 – 13 January 1941)

* [For first time visitors]:
Typo in the title?
Nah.
It's just that I would not let a tiny T spoil an avantgardistic alliteration.

  1. Now that, I enjoyed (and not for the first time either). Were the works of the two of them not taken seriously I might enjoy laughing at them too. Calum never did arrive for the golf, by the way (if you remember), but did arrive for the coffee, twice, and counting...

    1. After ten years it was high time to post it again. We had lots of fun then, hadn't we? And the few of us still have. Which is why I am still blogging.

    2. Hilarious! If only I re-read Calum:
      "In my younger days I was known to curse and swear on the course. Oh and sometimes, just very occasionally, I would batter a club on the ground or hurl it further than the ball.
      Now I am much much ..... much much fucking calmer!"
