Tenacious isn't it?
It is. However, wintriness and wind will win.
Lucky? or Lonely? I find the leaf somewhat of a metaphor, as leaves so often are.
The chosen metaphor probably depends on each beholder's mood in the very moment. I'd like to know what the leaf feels, itself. And the tree. I'd like to know what they are talking about, in case they do.
The leaf feels nothing, the tree feels nothing, the Earth feels nothing... We, however, are afflicted with the ability to feel.
Far from being a treehugger, I find the idea "interesting" that like cats, cows and other creatures leaves, trees and Earth are also afflicted with the ability to feel ... certain bipeds' callous stupidity ... (not) to survive.
Not a comfortable thought for vegans and vegetarians... the relentless slaughter in the fields...
Relentless slaughter? How horrible. I am proud to not support this. I do buy chicken breast filet, only.
