Creators (what ever their genre) fill me with awe and gratitude.

DeleteIt's often been a thought of mine, what if i could have become a writer. Those who do it best just astound me.
ReplyDeleteI remember a lovable loser who used to say: "Who knows what I would have become; a world-famous pianist, a gifted painter, a Nobel Prize winner in physics or medicine?
DeleteBut oh, I just didn't have time to try everything.
Perhaps "the feeling of standing out from the crowd" is not a proper reason for writing a book. Surely, the motivation should be less superficial than that.

Hahaha!! You have to embiggen the picture to see the joke. I love the few Nicolas books around the casa and bemoan the loss of a couple more "lent" to an arty friend and never returned. His illustrations are universally appealing.
ReplyDeleteIt's a fine joke, eh? As for your loss: I like to give books as gifts, but I don't lend them out any more.
