This reminds me of my Oak Tree which has recovered from the trauma it experienced a few years ago. The sun sets behind the magnificent Oak which is Cherry's tree ;-)
Since I no longer extend the ladder seven metres, the cherries in the treetop belong to blackbirds, starlings and the like. * On a day like today, the tree "swallows" a third of the heat. Aferradetes, Paula.
That is a big cherry tree. Long may he thrive.
ReplyDeleteI am pretty sure it will survive me. ;-)

DeleteQue gros i que preciós!
ReplyDeleteQuina sort tenir-lo!
Adoro les cireres i l'ombra, les dues coses.
Aferradetes, Sean!
Carme
The tree is indeed a gift. The shade it provides these days is almost more welcome than the cherries were.
DeleteAferradetes, Carme.
Ha de ser una passada veure'l ple de cireres.
ReplyDeleteI una bona ombra per estar fresquets.;-)

The old cherry tree is still strong and healthy and looking great.
ReplyDeleteWe had it thinned out a few years ago. It obviously did him good.
DeleteA mature tree is a joy.
ReplyDeleteExcept in late autumn ;-)
DeleteBut the foliage in turn protects other plants from frost.
