Beware of cheating

Weaker and weaker.
Week  by week.
Day by day.
Who cares?
Why?

As long as there are
such moments of joy ...

Would I know
there's not much time left
I might like to write
about veracity, tonight.

About manipulation,
about ethics,
(not only)
for journalists and photographers.

The peace of the night

    1. But many don't "succeed", if you look around this planet.
The image is one of my personal favourites.

    1. Veracity's equivalent in German is 'Wahrhaftigkeit', practically extinct in common parlance ... and not only there ...

    Hugs, Sean.

    1. Whoever found the formula that prevents blameless newborns for all time from becoming bad characters would be honoured as the inventor of peace on earth ;-)
I am glad you like both photo and text.
      Hugs, Paula.

  4. Que bonica que és aquesta foto!!! Manipulada o no... és preciosa.

No sé si sempre ha estat igual en la història de la humanitat, però sí que sé que ara vivim a l'època de les mentides, les falsedats i les manipulacions.

    Una abraçada, Sean.

    1. Ah! Glad you like this very photo.
I cut off the top third of the original for photo one and turned this part upside down for photo two.
Photo three is the (not manipulated) original.

Is there a translation of Brecht's poem ‘An die Nachgeborenen’ into Catalan?
      Una abraçada, Carme.

    2. Sí, he llegit “An die Nachgeborenen” traduït al català "Als nascuts després". Traducció de Feliu Formosa, que és un bon poeta català. És un poema impressionant, quasi fa mal de tanta realitat que conté. Gràcies, Sean.

    3. Oh, good! I hadn't found Formosa's version in Catalá. But now ;-) Thank you, Carme.

  6. The official press scares me, these days... and I wonder what the people with power are up too... I think I feel the deeper meaning of your words, Sean. We are heading towards big challenges.

    1. We are certainly living in interesting time, loveliest of all Lindas.
I think what is circulating in the unsocial media is at least as dangerous as multi-billionaires cooking their own media soup.
Not to be forgotten the shocking media incompetence of an alarming number of contemporaries.

And yes, to write the true is important. There are a lot of lyers. The true is ever the more important in a writing, in a story, in the Life. Greetings from Mallorca.
