Miscellany

For a while I had to be busy with not-blogging.

Done.

I am looking forward to enjoy . . . leisure.
Leisure to read ... leisure to think ... to re-think .... to contemplate ... to write ...

Thus, in case I might again become very busy with not-blogging:

Take good care of yourself and your thoughts, please.

  1. It is strange how taking good care of ourselves and of our own thoughts can often be so much more difficult than taking care of other things and other people. Perhaps you could take care of me and my thoughts and I could take care of you and yours? Although a shared bottle of malt may take care of both, obviously. Sadly not an option, but I do suggest a malt or two for you as we approach and then swing around another winter solstice. Slange.

    1. Ah, Andrew, aren't our 'own thoughts' responsible for our care about other things and other people?
[Sometimes I wish my English were as slighly good as is my German.]
I do like the idea of us sharing a bottle of malt. A lovely option. If not next year, perhaps in 2017?
      Sláinte, dear friend.

    2. Even better, we could secretly share one of those bottles hidden away in my son's safe in Cheltenham, for which I, the Don Codebreaker, have cracked the code... (even Cheltenham's finest will not keep me from that whisky, although actually the young coder has offered to bring some up with him voluntarily for solstice supping)

    3. Voluntary or not voluntary, that is not the question. We ought to have our eyes on the fruit of your loins, obviously. After CERN now GCHQ? He needs a clear head. We should free him from the Whisky.

  2. We should always look after ourselves first. If we do not we will be unable to look after others :-)

    I am having a Happy Thought :-)

    2. It's been indeed, Tuesday, December 1st, 00:29 a.m. here, when Andrew posted his comment. And so forth.
I shall have to have a look at this.

      Hm, what 'Happy Thought', CherryPie?
      You see me curious. :)

    3. I too could feel happy, were I not assaulted by the sight of such monstrosities at the end of so many lines here. I frown (with no need to draw a picture of my frown). But be happy dear Emoticonites.

    4. Sometimes I do feel clean. In the next moment dear CherryPie appears, and once again Emoticonitis has caught me. It's as tricky a foe as are windmills, I can tell you, my valiant Don.

    5. I will spare you the image of a windmill!

    6. No, dearest of all CherryPies, no. Thistime the Don's power is with me. No chance.
      :)
Peeeeehhhhh. My donkey! My donkey! A kingdom for my donkey!

    7. Ahh... I see the Don's power is diminishing and the emoticons are shining through...

      :-) :-) :-)

  3. It's good to know you're able to relax and choose your own path for a bit.

    1. ... for a bit, yes.
... 'for a bit' are the magic words, as there have a few things been left undone, which now do ask for attention.
What would I do without ridiculous buerocracy / buerocrats in a world where no problems need to be solved?
