I had not heard of the lady but she clearly had, probably still has, something special about her. Somewhat entrancing.
But a couple of days before her 90th birtday she cancelled a concert for health issues. May she soon be able to set a new date. :)
At least on this side of the world such women (if there are some) never get the notice of such as she - or Melina Mercouri. Good examples. :)
And there are – if not many – quite a few more. Miriam Makeba and Maria Farantouri come to my mind. Oh, well now I started ...
