I feel reminded of Jonathan Swift's Modest Proposal; and of the fleeing Vietnamese woman being told before entering a boat with her baby on one arm and a young sow on the other that each refugee was allowed to take but one item with them. I had to laugh at EC's comment but some things happen in mankinds history that make ones mind recoil.
