Impressió, sol ixent

«Impressió, sol ixent»
(Claude Monet – 1872)

My impression at first glance: I would love to have this Monet hanging in my library.
My monetary condition doesn't allow for it, though.

    1. I think so, too. But seriously: I am convinced that such a work of art is better off in a museum than in my home or in the high-security vault of some obscenely rich contemporary.
      Una abraçada, Carme!

    1. And in my opinion, that's a good thing. As I wrote to Carme above, I am convinced that such works of art are better off in a museum where ‘you and I’ might admire them.

  3. That's a shame it would compliment the Seanhenge library.

    1. It certainly would, dear Mark. But then I would have to have an alarm system installed and insure the painting. How many wonderful books could I buy for that much money ... if I had it. ;-)

    Sempre hi ha esperança !,
    Bona setmana !!.

    1. Very good suggestion! I'm going to order a ticket from La Bruixa d'Or in Sort, already looking forward to win El Gordo.
      Bona setmana, Artur!

    Hugs, Sean.

    1. You could, of course, also have one of your fantastic photographs framed and hung in that spot. What do you think?
      Hugs, Paula.

    3. That's not good, Paula. So many people do appreciate your work. So go, have a look at least for your favourite photo, and frame it. Please. ;-)

  7. Monet has to be my favorite, probably all time favorite. We were able to afford to go to the Immersive VanGogh, but try as i did, we couldn't scratch up enough time or money for the Monet, and i will always be a bit blue about that.

    1. As I just mentioned: Fortunately there do exist copies, calendars and the internet.
Where were you able to visit the Van Gogh Exhibition?

  8. My lovely friend JD, gifted me some of his paintings which I proudly display on my walls.

One of them is a painting of a photograph I took of a special tree near to Flodden field.

    1. Lovely. JD's gift to you reminds me of a gift by my Canadian Blogger friend Susan, which hangs just before my eyes.
      I see a post coming. ;-)

    1. I'm pleased you enjoyed the little "joc de paraules". Had it not come to my mind, I might not have had a good idea to participate. Thank you, Mac! ;-)
