| It's all a matter of Omnium, eh? ;-) * [...] people who spend most of their natural lives riding iron bicycles [...] get their personalities mixed up with the personalities of their bicycle as a result of the interchanging of the atoms of each of them and you would be surprised at the number of people [...] who are nearly half people and half bicycles... (from "The Third Policeman") |
Flann O'Brien *5 October 1911
Before anyone erroneously claims he is dead: Those few people still taking for granted Flann O'Brien died 1 April 1966: Flann fooled you all.

Els escriptors no moren mai!!!
ReplyDeleteI see Flann raising a pint of plain and Aristophanes nodding. ;-)
DeleteSort tenim que no morin mai.
ReplyDeleteUn altre llibre a la llarga llista de pendents. ;-)
Petonets, Sean.
Per cert, el darrer post que em surt a la llista de lectura és l'anterior.
DeleteI hear if Joyce had not been ding-dong, he had written like Flann. ;-)
DeleteI set Omnium to ‘private’ for about 20 hours due to a crawler attack and then set it back to ‘public’. Blogger probably hasn't noticed the latter yet. I wouldn't be surprised.
Hi Sean - I admire your knowledge of the world in literature ... lots to learn ... cheers Hilary
ReplyDeleteI've probably forgotten more in my life than others have ever learned ;-)
Jo podria ser meitat persona, meitat bicicleta (estàtica! 😜)
Una abraçada, Sean.
Gràcies, Carme. I don't know why Omnium isn't updating, but I don't feel like spending 24 hours a day looking for the cause.
DeleteSo, so. You're 50 per cent bicycle, then?! ;-)
Abraçades!
Back then, maybe they were half bicycle, now are they half phone?
ReplyDeleteHa ha, Mimi. Good one!!
