If counted well the Germans today can/could watch Dinner for One (The 90th Birthday) 13 times at different times on various TV-channels, and apart from the original in various German dialects, inclusive Schwiizerdütsch (Swiss German). Very strange folks, the Germans. Well, judge for yourself.
Tiny tip-off: Be absolutely determined not to laugh.
Ho! This was a New Year's staple on telly here, too! (Albeit on our "multicultural" station) It's a little gem and I'd clean forgotten about it. Happy, hic!, New Year, Sean!
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, Lady Pipistrello! Lots of health, joy, love & laughter!
DeleteNot one I know. Thank you. I will watch later - and hope that the New Year is a happy, healthy time for you.
ReplyDeleteMay 2022 treat you kindly, Sue.
DeleteThank you :-)
ReplyDeleteThis always makes me smile :-)
Same prcedure as every year, eh? ;-)
DeleteI gave viewing this a miss this year, being determined not to laugh. Good wishes for a Good 2022 for yourself and everybody else. More generally, I do expect, however, that the House of Horrors that is life on Planet Earth for so many will continue, with its war, genocide, oppression, famine, flood, fire, sickness, disability, death, etc. etc.... but in amongst it all I hope things might be ok for those who deserve it. I have not had a drink yet this year, having been asleep by 11pm last night, and maybe I need one. Cheers?
ReplyDeleteHa! I, too, prefered to wake up in 2022.
DeleteSince, most of the time: Read, eat, sleep.
Definitely time to drink. Cheers.
May 2022 treat us kindly.
