Laughing Lhursday*

The loveliest of all daughters and booksellers allowed me
to 'make' a Laughing Lhursday of her mishap.
As title, she suggested two and a half weeks ago:
Tanzen ist doch schädlich. / Dancing is harmful after all.

Now, while sitting in Hogwarts
with her torn ligament,
the cook's name is Sean,
for a couple of weeks
carrying pots and pans across the road
for four hungry mouths.

* [For first time visitors]:
Typo in the title? Nah. It's just that
I would not let a tiny T spoil an avantgardistic alliteration.

    Aferradetes curatives, Sean.

    1. Eight weeks, says her doctor. That's why we've resigned ourselves to not going to the Frankfurt Book Fair.
Sometimes it turns out to be not a bad thing to have old Sean living opposite.

    1. Ha ha ha, you're building me up.
My grandchildren are eleven and eight, and rarely eat like horses.
Tonight, while my granddaughter was at judo, the two of us went to the bookshop for 90 minutes for the first time in ages.
The healing process is making good progress.
      Abraçades, Carme!

  3. I pray she heals up as soon as the doctors say, if not sooner. It's wonderful of you to take such good care of them.

    1. Thank you, CherryPie! The healing process is progressing: I no longer have to carry pots. She can already (slowly) cross the street without crutches. ;-)

  6. Hi Sean - you're being and have been a good father and grandfather - they're lucky ... I too hope your daughter fully recovers soon ... while time allows for you to take the littlies to the bookstore for treats all round ... cheers Hilary

    1. This time, I had to rescue you from the dungeon of oblivion (spam folder), as I just discovered.
Thank you for your kind wishes, Hilary. The time of cooking for everyone is coming to an end. Today, the bookseller was finally able to spend her first few hours back in her beloved shop.

    2. Thanks for rescuing me ... I was convinced I'd left a comment ... but now I see daughter is improving and back to her love of books. The cooking will continue sharing with the family at times ... it's good to know life is returning to normal for them - cheers Hilary
