  1. The older I get, the more I realize I can never read everything and be familiar with everything, and it's okay, I'll do as much as I can and leave the rest to someone else.

    1. I feel the same way, though I'm very happy with my little library. Among all my books, there was only one that was terribly bad—the only one I've ever let anyone talk me into buying. ;-)

  2. Hi Sean - an appropriate post at this time ... a Catalan poet who was curtailed in life through MS ... though he looks to have lived with a full life. A thought here too ... cheers Hilary

    1. For many Catalans, Martí i Pol is much more than just a fine poet who suffered from MS, Hilary.
Beyond his great art, they revere him as someone who helped their language and culture, suppressed under the fascist Franco regime, survive.
Others could certainly explain his impact and importance much better than I can.

  4. Dos grans llibres ben diferents del nostre estimat Miquel Martí i Pol.
    Espero que els gaudeixis molt.
    Aferradetes, Sean.

    1. Gràcies, Paula. Over the weekend, I read some poems from both books. It's a joy to see them in the original and the German translation.
