  1. A truly amazing sight. I am always in awe when I look up at the sky.

One of the most moving events in my life was looking up and seeing Sputnik as it traversed the sky.

  2. Viewing this twinkling, brilliantly lit immensity does leave one somehow speechless. Yet, many great artists: poets, painters, musicians have tentatively tried to describe such beauty. Please, allow me to offer the first words which always come to my mind when I look at the sky.

"The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork."

I agree with the psalmist. Thank you, Sean, for this spectacular post.

  3. It's quite a view, Sean. Some day I would like to get a telescope, but in the meantime I'm happy to just look up as often as possible!

(This programme is a nice supplement.)
