See?

How easily stamped down ....
... is such a tiny beauty.

  1. I thought it was a viola. Flowers much like this in the US are called 'johnny jump ups'. They're very pretty whatever the name.

  2. Always good to see violas and not of the musical kind!

  3. A fine photo, but see little Claude too, in that new photo she chooses to show us now. What a fresh young sweetie. More precious but just as fragile (on a slightly different timescale) than any flower. Events have tried to stamp her down from time to time, I'm sure, but, with some effort, she still resists. An inspiration. As are the flowers.

  4. Just as fragile "as" any flower Scotty, not "than"...

    Sometimes I despair of you...

  5. @Don QuiScotie - We never despair of Andrew!

@Andrew - Thank you! The photo is in Remembrance of Things Past (À la recherche du temps perdu). The girl, on the beach, was 13. Dying every night, to be reborn every morning...:-)

  7. Who made me disappear?

    Not me.

    Foul play? A windmillish robot?
