Risotto Seanese

Voilà, the ingredients for Risotto Seanese.
Well, almost.
You do, of course, need Risotto Rice,
white wine, (sea-) salt, pepper and Parmeggiano.

Not in the picture: vegetable stock.
In lieu thereof the cod which went with today's risotto.

  1. Did all the vegetables come from Seanhenge? Those mushrooms are huge and I like how they still have their stems. Over here the stems are usually chopped off before they get to the shops.
    I bet your meal was delicious despite my not eating fish. Everything looks so fresh and lovely.

  2. I wish it were so. :)
    However, only the onions, the shallot and the tomatoes come from Seanhenge.
    The Garlic, the (untreated) lemon and the porcini come from the weekly farmer's market, from my Italian friends;
    The cod was delicious, too. But I would have done with the risotto.
    What a waste to chop off the stems of fresh mushrooms.

  3. The background flowers (in and out) add to the beauty of the luscious tableau.

    Bon Appétit!
