It will repeat, as your annual images repeat, I suggest, until the wars and corruption stop and people stop living and multiplying in unsuitable places, all of which will not stop, so what to do? For such aid as is offered just powers the next and bigger cycle of the same tragedy, until that which will not stop - the wars, the corruption, the multiplying in unsuitable places, does stop. But it won't stop. It will all come out in "the wash" though, at least. Nature fixes everything when dumb humanity will not learn, but Nature's remedy does hurt. I've had enough of dumb humanity, which includes me (obviously).
Hi Sean, Your picture is indeed relevant as with all the razzle dazzle and Christmas goings on there remains, for many, the terrible dark side of our existence. But, to also inject a ray of hope at this time for all of those justifiable lamentations, can I send out a friendly reminder, history is not all over as Wendt's teleological theory of world order development suggests otherwise. So, we can sing together, in memory of John Lennon, his apt words that “War is over now if we let it”. Next year let’s “make it a good one”. With that thought, each of us can do his bit. Best wishes for 2018.
Earth is a temporary dwelling. We are called upon to do the best we can to help one another. Some will. Some won't. We will be judged according to this. Eternity is a long time to reflect on one's neglect of other Beings, or cruelty towards them. I hope and pray that my little best will be acceptable. I'm grateful that I've met a few people deeply aware that all is not well in this world but still succeed in living an honorable, creative life, not adding to the chaos and destruction.
Wishing you a peaceful, joyful time with your loved ones.
There is enough for all of us.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes to you and yours.
This may be so. Even for seven billions of us. And for 14 billions? 28? 56? 112?
ReplyDeleteNature will find a solution.
My good thoughts are with you.

ReplyDeleteAs so often, there are not two opinions between you and me, Andrew. Feel yourself hugged, big bold man. :)
