I love this young woman. There is her delightful, brilliant music, of course. But also her magnificent, artistic fashion style. And her courageous eloquence to defend her intense performances when she is attacked. If you have the time, go and read her twitter long answer to the Guardian's unkind and ignorant Review on her Liszt and Mussorgsky concert at the Wigmore Hall (April 2, 2015)
The Toronto Royal Conservatory has invited her to play the same program this Sunday at 3 pm. I didn't know until I saw your 2nd post of Khatia's Liszt (in a few weeks) wondering whose Birthday it was. Googled told me nobody was born or died today. I guess you love that performance as much as I do. Thank you!
I'm missing her in Toronto. Much too late to buy a ticket. Thinking that maybe, if I'm at the door with my walker, someone might have pity and let me in. ;). But to get at the Koerner Hall would be the problem. I'll check our Classical Radio Schedule.
Ah, take a taxi to Koerner Hall, Claude, and at the entry start snivelling and sobbing, "because I can't find my ticket" which would be a miracle, anyway;:) and therefore will be nothing but the truth. And then enjoy the concert! . . . I wish I could be there, too. But alas! no wormhole at hand.
