A fat ball a day ...

keeps the hunger away.

  1. Ours only get seeds - I wonder whether they would like fat balls.

    1. They would, although we only offer them in winter.

    2. The fatballs are said to consist of cereals, oak flakes, oilseed, natural finished animal fat, sunflower oil, minerals, apple pieces, herbs and insects.

  2. It looks so appetising! A real feast! I feel our city birds are truly deprived. Not many worms around to add to the sparse seed diet. I don't understand why they don't move to the country.

    1. I expect they would if they were not finding food somewhere Claude (although it often puzzles me why some obviously freezing cold homeless people don't just wander steadily south; but I expect I am simplifying their situation).

    2. Following Andrew's thoughts: Freezing cold homeless people steadily wandering southwards would very probably by many receive the same "warm welcome" like those "wandering" northwards for this and that reason.
It's a matter of empathy and altruism – and the lack of both.
Still, there remains the question: Why would people who find democracy not only too ardous, but unbearable disgusting, not emigrate to countries being absolutely democracy-free? There are quite a few on this planet.

  3. Getting a fat ball into that structure looks like a topological tussle, although I expect there is an obvious answer.

    1. I am guessing the winding structure is very flexible, so bend it back about the middle and pop the ball in (or else just use magic, obviously).

    2. Ah! Now I understand what you mean, Andrew.
I do, of course, use magic. ;-)
