Beers & Books LXXIV – Halldór Laxness

Love of, and respect for, the humble routine
of everyday life and its creatures
was the only moral commandment
which carried conviction when I was a child.

Halldór Laxness (23. April 1902 in Reykjavík – 8. Februar 1998)

  1. An affecting quote but it was Reykjavik that caught my eye, an excellent city, we visited it en route to Greenland.

Btw has entered the blogosphere. There's a couple about books..bit different this one.

    1. Lucky you.
A while ago I was invited to stay as long as I wish and need for a writing project, but up til now hesitated to accept this generous offer. Hmmm ...
And now I am heading over to you, for at least a few first glimpses.
