It might not be swarming but it's definitely there, Then and now. I'll just say two names: Bach and Cage. Lists are tedious but I could produce a substantial one for every subject.
Many moons ago before I was married to Mr C he used to phone me up at work and ask for Mrs Elderberry (it was a play on my surname). He did it on purpose to confuse my colleagues. The normal response until they got wise to him was to say to us there is a man on the phone asking for Mrs Elderberry :-)
Ha! Just get up. Now! Go to him and "demand": A kiss for Mrs. Elderberry, Mr. C.!" . . . And in half an hour – or tomorrow – let 'us' know how it was. :)
Why would I like your words so much, dear Andrew? Because they are true? Or just because I am one of those (mostly) declining "to join in with the instinct of the swarm"?
