  1. I see no dog on the beer, and I also see no frothy head in the glass whereas the previous glasses have had a clear overabundance of head due to careless quick pouring (I humbly suggest). Did the label provoke more careful pouring, or is ZUBR a flat Polish beer? I wish I was with you for these photo-shoots. You would no doubt become immersed in distracted reading while I could clear away the beer for you.

    1. Yes, Zubr is a Polish beer, unfortunately not with a little dog on the bottle. And I do not have many books of Polish authors on my shelves.
I do try to improve, though. Exclusively for Andrzey Szczypiorski's "American Whisky" I bought a bottle of Jack Daniel's; for Joyce's "Dubliners" a bottle of Dubliner. But I am digressing.
As for the underabundance of head: I was late with the photograph.
For you, my dear friend, I would, of course, pour very very carefully, so that you would not get distracted by an overabundance of head while enjoying joycean pleasures.

  2. So many books, so little time...
I KNOW I will not read all that I want to - particularly because there are new books coming out all the time. I will die trying I hope.

    1. I am with you, Sue.
As for all the new books coming out: For many – if not most of them – it is a great pity that so many trees had to die. The more glad I am that amongst the books on my shelves are less than ten that with hindsight I had to consider a bad purchase (to put it politely).
      So let's keep trying!

    2. As for me, so many beers, so little time and opportunity...
