Little swallow

Sometimes
I do feel a great sadness.

  1. Don't we all. That photo is a trigger for mine.

    1. There have several swallow families been living under our roofs this summer. With one we had to share two tragedies. This (the little one) was the first.

  2. Sometimes sadness overwhelms me, especially recently. I wish it didn't. Some other people seem absolutely immune to sadness, which, unfortunately, saddens me. There is a healthy balance to be found somewhere, I think. I will keep looking to find it.

    1. Not only that some people obviously are immune to sadness. Unfortunately, those immune to empathy in general elections voting for criminals, sociopaths, swashbucklers and pure idiots not seldom turn out to be the majority.
That does not make me sad. It worries me.

    2. Apparently worry is pointless unless it can prompt action that might counteract the cause of the worry (so I am often told, and often tell myself), in which case I reckon those worries you refer to are probably pointless, which is, in itself very worrying... (I wonder if smiley or glum face would be the appropriate ending here, or perhaps both, if such abominations were acceptable, of course). I am pondering a rest and respite from blogging and blog commenting, as sometimes it feels an unhealthy habit for my mind, when it gets into certain cycles. If so, don't worry about my silence (although I often try for such respite then relapse).

  3. Of course, I am aware of that it is pretty unlikely I could change the course of the world for the better; insofar, anything I do or do not, think or think not, write or write not is pointless.
Still, I do express my hope that while you may recover from the unhealthy parts of blogging, DonQuiscottie will saddle his Rocinante for the time being, and followed by Seanso Panza and his brave donkey will continue to fight certain windmills in the blogosphere.
