    1. Alas! Too late. But now and then, when enjoying a mug of tea or coffee in the garden ...

    1. Certainly. The stories in this very book are excellently written.

    1. Oh, daydreaming is also very nice sometimes.
Do I understand correctly: Jesus lost his espadrille in Land's End? ;-)

    1. Ah, Carme, according to the Wikipedia entry in Catalan, there have been quite a few of her works been translated into Català. Hopefully, at least some of them are still in print. Good luck and La pau de la nit. ;-)

  5. Hi Sean - Land's End ... that I relate to Virginia Woolf, rather than Daphne ... she lived further up the south coast, in Cornwall still, - but oh dear I'm put to shame once again - I have lighter books here - still educational beyond many ... but most definitely lower down your ladder. You've given me food for thought ... cheers Hilary

    1. Please don't hide your light under a bushel, Hilary. Food for thought is always good. That way we complement each other.
