  1. Lovely sounds, and as I said as a comment on your most recent Beer & Books post, but it may not have got through: "Ah beer... I have a hospital consultation on Monday at the Neurology department because of my debilitating "Long Covid" symptoms that have be walking with a stick but... as of this evening... beer is starting to taste nice again! So all is well with the world tonight and life is good. Harviestoun Ola Dubh (8%) and Mor Ticia (5%). Thankfully my stick is nearby to assist my hobble towards the bed and the peace of another night."

    2. Ah, good to read! Actually I thought, Saints 3 - 0 Hibs would let you throw your stick away!
      How is Lady Alison?

    3. Lady Alison and her Lord Dave, the "Hibees", as we call them, are strangely muted this evening in response to my texts celebrating the achievements of the magnificent "Saints" of Perth. Perhaps they did not appreciate my jolly "banter". And as the Don is too pissed this evening to notice I will allow myself a :)) Dulcinea will appreciate my beeey breath as I lie beside her, and perhaps even permit her a goodnight kiss I am sure :)

    1. Oh, Dulcinea just popped her beautiful head around my study door, where I confess not much study has ensued this evening, and asked, "are you capable of even reaching the bed or do you need some help". Hah! I am capable, I am capable... or at least collapsable.. The return of taste buds needed a full clinical trial and rigorous testing, did they not? Goodnight.

    2. They did, by Jove, they did. Sweet dreams, and the peace of the night!

  3. I am sure Dulcinea will be delighted to sniff the beery breath of her valiant hero who sent the Saints to win a final against St Mirren or Livingston.
Lady Alison and Lord Dave will have to accept that sharing their house with Devil does not help against Saints.

  4. My grandfather (who loved his Saturday beer) used to say,"C'est correct de trebucher, du moment que t'es joyeux! "It's okay not to be steady, as long as you're merry!"

This guitarist is truly magical! Merci, Sean.

    1. Your grandfather was a wise man, Claude.
I wondered this morning which year he was born.

Paco de Lucía was my favourite guitarist, and he still is.

And a big hooray for Andrew's returning taste buds.

    1. So glad you enjoyed, Sue.
And yes, "a big hooray for Andrew's returning taste buds". And how admirable that by rigorously testing he valiantly undertook a full clinical trial.
