Promising

First spuds.
The amount promises a good harvest.
Tasting they were excellent, anyway.

  1. I feel jealousity. We used to grow our own (but always in far too great an abundance) in a rented cottage when the world was young. Too lazy, and thankfully too busy, nowadays. Maybe a small raised bed in wooden surround though, just for fun.

    1. Mostly we would have to buy potatoes only for a couple of weeks in late spring / early summer. I could do without the "work", but I do appreciate the result.
And I enjoy picking a few raspberries here and some blackberries there, whenever I feel like.
You try growing some potatoes "in wooden surround" just for fun. Your "own" potatoes will taste extra delicious.
