Satur(day)ation

The last potato cellared for this year,
my heart rose up like a falcon to the sky:
Two bees and a bumble-bee
enjoying a sunflower feast.

    1. This very sunflower grew inmidst the potatoes. It's almost four metres high.

  3. So many exquisite garden glimpses! And commiserations on your tiny potatoes but congratulations on fulfilling the German proverb :)

    1. Imagine, signora Pipistrello, while I was digging Lady C. was delighted to collect all the big spuds; had I not intervened she would have spurned all those little ones proving my genius.
At the end there were enough for a nice meal: Sesame lightly roasted without fat, some butter added, the tiny potatoes tossed and served with herbed curd cheese and some freshly picked tomatoes and salad. Delicious.

  4. Espero, de tot cor, que les patates de la collita tinguin tan bon resultat com la gran festa que es donen aquests insectes.😉
    Maquíssima la foto.

    Aferradetes, Sean.

    1. Thank you, Paula. We had a fine harvest, indeed. The potatoes should last us until at least next spring.
      Aferradetes!

  5. Love the photo. The bees look like eyes on the sunflower.
You were correct about the ivy on the tree.
Have a fun new week, Sean.

    1. Ha, now you mention it.
As for the ivy: I am glad my new glasses herewith have passed their test ;-)
And thank you for your good wishes, Bill. A lovely new week for Shari and you, too.
