The first American who discovered Columbus
made a terrible discovery.

  1. Rarely was a more true statement said. And you have prompted me to explore some of his other words, some profound, some dubious, and this one fun: "The 'second sight' possessed by the Highlanders in Scotland is actually a foreknowledge of future events. I believe they possess this gift because they don't wear trousers..." Perhaps this old Scotsman should do something that he has never done, and don a kilt...

  2. Ten years ago, there was had much fun in the comment section of The Secret of Kiltish Powers .
C'est la Craig: "Personaly I'd question the foresight of a nation who would choose the kilt as national dress, in a country of waist high thistles.
And there was much to learn about the Scot(t)s.

    1. Ah, now that was a fun evening, with comments I have just revisited, but why did I keep commenting as "Anonymous"? It must have been in my early days with commenting; but still, you seem to have identified me easily enough.

  3. It was a fun evening! But I have a problem indentifying myself with this younger and volubile Claudia. You both had much patience putting up with her interruptions. Glad she grew more silent with the years.

    1. As you write, a fun evening it was. So where is your problem, Claude? Without "volubile Claudia" it had been less fun.
