As for American Whisky, I do fully understand your happy ignorance, Sue. See the sealed bottle? I shall give it to a neighbour who uses to indulge himself with US_American junk food. He will be delighted.
Ah... Now I do like a spot of Jack Daniels (perhaps a traitorous admission from a Scot, but I do what I like, if legal,...eh... mostly). Jack Daniels with soda or tonic water actually. Nuts, I am?
Ah, no. I trust on good old Lichtenberg. Not that I did not try Jack Daniel's, Jim Beam and Co. twice in those years when Whisky was preferably adulterated with Coke – the first an the last time. When it comes to Whisk(e)y, I am purist.
Whisky, like bear I am very happy to ignore.
ReplyDeleteBooks on the other hand...

ReplyDeleteSouthern Comfort - that is a fine American Drink too. Have you tried a drop of The Jack Seanso? Perhaps you should.

And I like the name Andrjez, presumably my name in Polish? Andrjez Szkott?
ReplyDeleteHm, rather Andrzej Szcottokowski, Szcottolowski or maybe Szcottiszinki.
DeleteDon Kczi Szcottisnaki?
DeleteThat sounds more Japanese, and thus would be Kczi Szcottisnaki san.
