Not necessarily, hm?

When a book and a head collide and a hollow sound is heard, must it always have come from the book?
Georg Christoph Lichtenberg (1742-1799)

  1. It depends which books I'm reading, Georgy. Some books are very full, some are heavy, some are meaningful, and some are incredibly empty, much more than my (alas!) empty head.

  2. In Georgy's name (re your last remark): Understatement is at least as bad as overstatement, dear Claudia.
As for the rest, the old hunchback nodded in agreement.
