Good reason to write a novel

I condemn slavery, I banish poverty,
I teach the ignorant, I treat
disease, I lighten the night,
I hate hatred.*

Victor Hugo (26 February 1802 - 22 May 1885)

*That is what I am, and that is why I have written Les Misérables.

  1. This is the same as the CD I have featuring Colm Wilkinson as Jean Valjean performed at the Royal Albert Hall. What a fabulous concert that was.

  3. Good enough indeed.

I still can't believe that this novel was made into a successful musical or that the story of Sweeney Todd became an opera.

Beautiful music can make any story palatable.
